چکیده

Purpose: Most of the grafts used as interposition conduits for middle hepatic vein (MHV) in living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) have been allografts and autografts. Recently, peritoneum has vessel substitutes during surgery. Thus, we performed animal lab tests to assess feasibility graft MHV. Methods: The inferior vena cava was replaced three dogs pigs with autologous peritoneal graft. After 28 days, patency rate, outer inner diameter, intimal thickness, histology, immunohistochemistry were evaluated according grafts. Results: made all animals at postoperative week 4. diameter anastomotic site four weeks 8.41±0.37 7.41±0.86 mm before surgery after weeks, respectively. 7.90±0.23 6.33±0.68 In histologic findings, intima thickest animals. proliferation smooth muscle cells most severe anti-alpha-actin antibody test anastomosis site. On side peritoneum, endothelial cell migration found over whole segments. Conclusion: Our data implicate that use are feasible MHV reconstruction LDLT.

Small graft for living donor liver transplantation.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the impact of graft size on recipients in living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) to establish a clinical guideline for the minimum requirement. SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA Although the minimum graft size required for LDLT has been reported to be 30% to 40% of graft volume (GV)/standard liver volume (SLV), the safety limit of the graft size was unknown. METHODS A total o...
